Since this our last day at MMASTEC Engineering Sdn Bhd, they had prepared a farewell party for us.The party begins after 2pm.We had enjoyed the party and very thankful and grateful for their cooperation with us for this 2 month period. Our supervisor give some motivational support to go through this challenging world and very thankful to us for our cooperation with the company.

From morning until lunch we had doing the collage for the Science and Technology Text Book for Standard 1. After lunch, Ahmad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal,Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Mohd Nur Faizzudin Bin Mohd Yusof and I has followed Pak Abu to deliver the completed text books at Sekolah Pendidikan Khas (Cacat Penglihatan) Kampung Batu. Then we has purchased some boxes that we needed for packaging. We has reached office around 5pm.

First of all in the morning, we has helped to paste the printed text book title on the text book hard cover. Then, we has received about 100 boxes of braille paper that we will used to print the text books.We have transfer all the 100 boxes to the office and arrange it properly at the room.

21 December 2010

First of all we had received a call from our site supervisor and they will have a visit around 10.30am to 11.30am.  Then, we had informed to our industrial supervisor (Pak Abu) and prepared ourself to meet the site supervisor. We has finished our meeting with site supervisor around 1 pm. After lunch, we has been asked to meet En Nazrol who is General Manager of the company. Since this is our last week here, he has given some advices and   grateful to us.We has finished our meeting around 5pm.

This is my last week in MMASTEC Engineering Sdn Bhd because I have almost completed my internship program; my experience at MMASTEC Engineering Sdn Bhd has been invaluable. I thoroughly enjoyed my position and learned a great deal about all the various aspects of a major contractions corporation.

Since we has to finished up the balance part that need to be thermoformed, Ahmad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Mohd NurFaizuddin Bin Mohamad Yusof and me(Puvendren A/L Subramaniam ) has followed Pak Abu to Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas (Cacat Penglihatan) at Setapak to continued the balance part.We had done the thermoforming until 4.30pm,since their lab is need to be closed we had to continued the balance 1 box at the office on Monday (20/12/2010).So, we has finished the whole day at the school.

Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Ahmad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal, Mohd Nurfaizuddin bin Mohamad Yusof, and me(Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) has followed Pak Abu to Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas ( Cacat Penglihatan ) at Setapak. The purpose we went there because thermoform machine in our office has breakdown, so we had temporarily done the thermoforming at Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas ( Cacat Penglihatan ) at Setapak.We had spend the whole day in the school and has finished three and a half from the seven boxes that we has brought.

First of all we has helped one of the staff to edit the company profile and company logo.We have divided the task among seven of us and we has managed to finished the task exactly before lunch.After lunch, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Ahmad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal, Mohd Nurfaizuddin bin Mohamad Yusof, and me(Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) has followed Pak Abu to Malaysian Association for the Blind (MAB) to collect the thermoform machine from Mr. Maniam. We had reached the office around 5.45pm.

In the morning, we had a meeting with our supervisor (Pak Abu) about the effective way to success in life and how go through the competitive world. Then, we has presented the task that has assigned to us before ,he has gave several comments about it and we need to do some corrections.After lunch, we had done the packaging and we has managed to complete the packaging part on the day.

Since we had settled down all the production part of the Science and Technology Text Book Year 1, now we are focusing on the packaging part. First of all, we had wrapped the books and placed it in the box according to the school.We has managed to finished wrapping half of the completed books.

First of all in the morning, we has received comments from Pak Abu about the assignment that we has submitted to him yesterday.Then, we have make some corrections on the assignment and submit back to Pak Abu again.After lunch, Mohd NurFaizuddin Bin Mohd Yusof,Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Ahamad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal and me (Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) has went to Malaysia Association of Blind (MAB) at Brickfields. The purpose we went to MAB is to deliver the thermorform machine in order to be repaired. We have back at office around 7 pm.

On this morning, we had a meeting with our supervisor (Pak Abu) and given a task for each of us.We have to come out with our topic and have to present to our supervisor. Then, our supervisor has given a example of his topic and explain to us how to prepare ourself for the presentation. After lunch, we had started to prepared our presentation by looking for a topic and searching for a point. Lastly, after we has managed to complete the task and submit to our supervisor and waiting for the respond.

First of all in the morning we has been asked to punch and bind the Mathematics text books for Year 1. After lunch, Ahmad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Mohd Nur Faizuddin bin Mohd Yusof and me (Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) has went to Sekolah Menengah Pendidikan Khas Cacat Penglihatan in Setapak with Pak Abu to request some Braillon paper from the school principals. Then, we went to Damansara to collect some papers from abang Roslan.

First of all in the morning,we have received a call from Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) and they has asked us to send MMastec Engineering Sdn Bhd company profile to them. Ahmad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib and me ( Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) went to Level 10 at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka to submit the company profile to Puan NurAidah from Intelect and Propoerties Department. After lunch, Mohd Nur Faizuddin Bin Mohd Yusof, Ahmad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib and me( Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) has followed Pak Abu and bought COMB (binding coil) about 8 sets. From there we had went to Malaysia Associate of Blind (MAB) to pay for the braillon paper and collect about 20 boxes for the company use but unfortunately they had run out of stock.

First of all, we were doing correction on the collage for Mathematics Module 1. Then, we have helped Nazri to search for the practical students from the local university and colleges in Klang Valley.After lunch, we have punched about 25 books of Mathematics Year 1 Module 1 and Module 2.

On this morning we have attend the meeting in the office with our supervisor ( Pak Abu). The purpose of this meeting is to enhance our motivation level in the company. Other than that,Pak Abu has appreciate our work since the date we joined the company.Then, each one of us given our own opinion about  working situation and the task assigned to us.The meeting was end around 10 a.m, then we were continued to do the several collage that not completed yet.Suddenly, there is no electricity in the whole building and we were go back home early around 12 pm.

First of all, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Mohamad Nur Faizzuddin Bin Mohamad Yusof and me ( Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) has been asked to punch the Science and Technology Text Book Module 1 until lunch. We have managed to finished about 15 books until our lunch time.After lunch we has continued our work again which is binding. We had bind Science and Technology Text Book Module 2 until 6 pm. Lastly, we has managed to finished about 25 books.

After complete bind the cover page for the Mathematics text book. We have been asked to bind the book for the Mathematics text book. It takes time about 4 hours.Then we have continued with the correction for the Braille figures.After lunch, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Ahmad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal, Mohamad Nur Faizzuddin Bin Yusof and me ( Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) has went to Pusat Bahasa Mustika located at Pandan Jaya to collect the Braillon paper.

First of all, his morning we were doing the collage until 11 am. Then, we have to make the corrections for the wrongly printed braille figures. After made the corrections we had checked it with our supervisor ( Pak Abu) and he has approved it for printing. Lastly, we has bind the cover page for the Standart 1 Mathematics Text Books. We have managed to finished more than 320 cover pages in the whole day.

On this morning, we were continued our collage for the text books until lunch. After lunch, we have been asked to do the project in dual-language which is Bahasa Malaysia and English. Since, the project that we have created in English so we had to create it in Bahasa Malaysia also.Once again we had divided the task among our team members and managed to complete the task before 6 pm.

On this morning we have managed to settle down the project that have given to us which is searching all the information about BSM Berhad, Books For Blind, MMASTEC Engineering Sdn Bhd and Keyei. After the task completed we were doing the collage until lunch. After came back from lunch, Mr.Sheon has ask us to create the company profile for Books For Blind.We have divided the task among seven of us and has started the work. Lastly, we have managed to finish all the work by evening.

First of all, we have divided the task among seven of us.The task is:

• Farhanuddean - Search for the MMastec Engineering Sdn Bhd information.
• Faizzuddin - Search the pictures for MMastec Engineering Sdn Bhd, BSM Bhd, and Book For Blind.
• Nazri - Searching the projects has been done by MMastec Engineering  Sdn Bhd and BSM Bhd.
• Puvendren (me) - Search for the BSM Sdn Bhd information.
• Noor Atiqah - Search the information for Book For Blind.
• Jasmalina and Atikah - Search the information about the KEYEI.

We have managed to finished the MMastec Engineering Sdn Bhd, BSM Bhd, and Book For Blind around 4pm and send it to our supervisor ( Pak Abu ) to check our work. Later we got the feedback from our supervisor and its really appriciates our works. Since Keyei is not completed yet, we have helped Jasmalina and Atikah to search the Keyei Information on the next day.Lastly, congratulations and a big thanks to all my friends in MMastec Engineering Sdn Bhd for helping each other to complete a big part of the task.

After complete designing the diagrams for the text books and be approved by our supervisor (Pak Abu), we have been asked to create the collage based on the design that we have created a day before. We have manage to complete about  50 pages and it take the whole day for us in MMastec Engineering Sdn Bhd. Lastly, we have hand it over to the production team to go through the other process.Lastly, we have a meeting with Dr.Marzuki, En Nazrol, En. Lutfi, En. Izzat and all internship student. We has been asked to search the content for the website that our company will create. After given a complete briefing about the task, we have question and answer session with them to ensure we understand clearly and we were given a week to complete the task. Since the meeting has finished around 6.40pm, we have decided to start the task on the next day.

Today, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Mohamad Nur Faizzuddin bin Mohd Yusof and me (Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) were searching  a list of ministry address in order to send them a letter regarding the fund collection. Then, we have helped other staff to create a fund collecting letter and fax it to them. After lunch, we were helped the production team in designing the diagram for the text books.

First of all, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib and me (Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) have helped one of the staff, Nur Hafizah to create the organization chart for the top management and the production department. Then, we have a meeting with Mr. Sheon and Pak Abu to talk about the problems faced by the production team. Lastly, Mr.Sheon and Pak Abu give us some motivation to go through our internship well.Then, we have searched for the office chairs supplier and set an appointment with them through internet and phone.Other than that, we have also have deal with Index Braille & Accessibility Sdn Bhd to get the quotation of the Braille thermoform machine to our company. After lunch, we have go to the Pembinaan Mithali who is the manufacturer of office furniture, general construction and renovation. We had discussed about the material and price of the chairs that we needed .Lastly, we has reached office around 5.30pm and give the quotation to our supervisor (Pak Abu).

This morning there is no task for us to do until lunch. After having lunch, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib and me (Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) has been asked to search all the ministry and subunits under the ministry information. We have managed to cover about 10 to 15 ministry  on that day. Then, we have searched for the office chairs dealers and have a conversation with them to replaced our office chair with the best price offered.

12 November 2010

Today, seven of us with our supervisor, Pak Abu went to Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation to present our purpose to the ministry. We have meet Mrs. Anita Bahari, Principal Assistant Secretary of MOSTI and first of all, we have introduced ourselves to the ministry and start the presentation.After the presentation has finished, we have been asked to produce the proposal and company profile to them as a next stage of the process. Its took almost a day in Putrajaya and we have reach the company back at 5.45pm.

On this morning, we have been asked to continue the searching of company information according to the list given yesterday. Three of us, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Mohamad Nur Faizuddin Bin Mohamed Yusof and me (Puvendren A/L Sbramaniam) have managed to complete the searching in this whole day.Totally, we have managed to searched about 600 company information and hand it over to our teamates, Noor Atiqah Zulkefli for further process.

Today we are continued to search the company information such as address, telephone number and facsimile number. The purpose of looking the company information is to collect some funds from the company for MMASTEC current project which is publishing the "Hikayat Hang Tuah" in Braille version for the blind readers. We were given a list of company name that derived from Bursa Malaysia.There is about 964 company to be searched by Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Mohamad Nur Faizzuddin bin Mohamed Yusof and me (Puvendren A/L Subramaniam). For today, we have managed to searched about 300 company information. Below is the list of the company that we have managed to search for the whole day.

This morning there is no task for us to do until lunch. After having lunch, Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib and me (Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) make some copies of three books of agreement given by government to the company.Lastly, we have been given a list of company name to search for the company address and contact information. The purpose of sending letter to the Malaysia Ministry is to collect fund to MMASTEC current project which is publish and print Hikayat Hang Tuah in Braille for the OKU people as extra reading materials.

This is the second week I'm at MMASTEC and early morning i have been given a task to continue doing collage for the braille books.It takes about 2 hours to complete the task.Then Mohamed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib, Mohamad Nur Faizzuddin Bin Mohamed Yusof and me(Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) have faxed the letter that prepared for the Malaysia Ministry. Then we have followed up by making a call to the ministry that have we faxed the letter before.

This morning I have continued the collage until lunch.After lunch,the management had meeting with us to discuss about preparation of donation letter to Kementerian, corporate, Koperasi, and GLC company.Each of internship student has been assigned with task. I'm assigned to create a excel file to insert the data about the letter information and status in order easy to MMASTEC search when they needed. My teammate,  Farhanuddean has assigned to fax the letter according to their fax number. Last but not least, Mohd Nur Faizuddin Bin Mohmed Yusof assigned to provision of fund letters for each company to translation from ordinary books to Braille print books. We are also guided by Mrs.Fiza and Ms. Mimi to complete the task has been given.

This is my third day at MMASTEC and everything go well as usual. I'm continuing doing collage for Buku Teks Matematik Darjah 1. Then we have given their company profile to go through in order to create the proposal for Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP).

We have been assigned a task which is to create a collage for transcription of Braille Text. Next, Mohammed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib and me (Puvendren A/L Subramaniam) have followed Pak Abu to deliver the complete printed text book at Sekolah Menegah Pendidikan Khas Setapak. After lunch, we have followed our supervisors, Mr. Sheon and Pak Abu to attend a meeting with Tuan Haji Abdul Khalik Sulaiman at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) to ask their permission to print out their book into Braille Text. After finished the meeting we have been asked to prepare a report based on the meeting that we have attended.

Internship Report

1 November 2010

• First day of my day in MMASTEC SDN BHD was very pleasant and interesting. First of all, I felt very nervous and scared but after talking to the staff i felt that they are very understanding and helpfull person. Pak Abu is a production manager of the company give me some explanation about my job description during the internship period. Then, I have been given  a task which is to create an application letter in Bahasa Malaysia and English for Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP). Then, other internship student from Kolej Poly-Tech Mara Kuala Lumpur and me has given the opportunity to meet DR Marzuki who is the boss of the company. DR Marzuki have give us some morale support to go through this challenging world and life.

• Lastly we have been divide into two groups:

• Mr Sheon : Ahmad Nazri Bin Raithol Afthal, Nur Atikah Kamarudin, Jasmalina Jamaludin and Noor Atiqah Zulkefli.
• Pak Abu: Mohd Nur Faizuddin Bin Mohamed Yusof, Mohammed Farhanuddean Bin Ahmad Najib and Puvendren A/L Subramaniam (Me)
